The University of Aberdeen invites applications for a Research Fellowship on an analysis of the extent to which existing land allocation models in the published scientific literature meet the requirements of key stakeholders making land use decisions.
The Research Fellow will develop a detailed understanding of a set of ‘land allocation’ models, which seek to place values on land and ecosystem services as an aid to land allocation and management policy. The aim is to understand the extent to which existing models meet user needs. This will involve road testing models against stakeholder needs and understanding the assumptions that lie behind them.
This 6 month Fellowship is funded by NERC as part of the Valuing Nature Programme.
Closing date for applications is the 15 October 2018.
