Ageing well in towns and cities: why the natural environment matters

Thursday, 9th January 2020

Why not get the New Year off to a green, healthy and age-friendly start?

You are invited to GHIA's (Green infrastructure and the Health and wellbeing Influences of an Ageing population) end-of-project event on Thursday 9th January 2020 at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester.

Who should come? The event will be of interest to people working in policy and practice associated with arts & heritage, green infrastructure, health & wellbeing, and/or age-friendly cities.

What can you expect? We will be sharing the learning from a three-year project centred on understanding the value and benefits of urban nature for health and wellbeing in later life. There will be presentations of findings, talks from our project partners working across Greater Manchester and interactive sessions showcasing our transferable methods and tools. Delegates will also receive a copy of our final report.

GHIA's research has been based in Greater Manchester but our findings apply more widely. Please do join us and get involved, wherever you are from. A detailed programme will be circulated in December. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment!
