Natural England manages a large programme of monitoring and evaluation of agri-environment schemes. A particular challenge is the establishment of robust environmental counterfactuals to enable a clear understanding of scheme additionality and value added. We would be very interested in hosting a placement to explore and develop methodological approaches in this area.
