AALERT is an interdisciplinary meeting aiming to foster debate and dialogue about the role of arts and the artist in landscape and environmental research today by cutting across disciplinary perspectives and professional practices.


Opportunity: Global Challenges Research Fund Portfolio Leaders (Challenge Leaders)

The Global Challenges Research Fund is a 5-year £1.5Bn fund led by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) which operates across a number of delivery partners, including the UK Research Councils, UK Higher Education Funding bodies, the Academy of Medical Sciences, Royal Society, British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering and UK Space Agency.

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) are looking to appoint GCRF Challenge Leaders. 


Training Opportunity: CEETOP Evidence synthesis short course and placements

The Collaboration for Environmental Training Opportunities (CEETOP) is a NERC funded training initiative consisting of two elements, a modular training programme and a placement. Both are flexible and can be attended independently of each other. The training is led by evidence synthesis specialists with experience of producing information for stakeholders including policy makers and business.

Keynote Lecture Series: Making nature investable? Considering some outcomes of coupling 'nature' with 'capital'

This Valuing Nature Keynote Lecture will be given by Professor Sian Sullivan, from Bath Spa University. This 45 minute lecture will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by Professor Michael Winter with Guy Duke, and Professor Nicola  Beaumont.
